The first step outside is early, just before dawn. Already the birds are singing loudly to welcome the new day, flying back and forth frantically as they race for the early worm. The sky is hinted with light purple and orange hues. Dogs are yawning and stretching ever so slowly. Cats move slowly and deliberate. A small rabbit sits motionless just at the yard’s edge. A gentle breeze delivers a waft of the morning’s coffee brewing in the pot. A rooster crows. The sun has moved higher now. Purple and orange hues are replaced with bright blue. The dew has watered the earth. Every leaf and blade of grass twinkles. A gentle breeze delivers the sweet smell of Earth. All is well.
